	Getting Started
	The first step in getting started is to contact us at Design and Equine for a free consultation to discuss your website goals. We'll talk about your business, your horses, your clients, and the benefits you are looking for in a website. Once you've made the decision to have a website for your farm, you'll want to secure the following: A Domain Name (for example: www.yourfarmname.com) A Hosting Account Subscription (this is the actual "space" where your webfiles reside) Design and Equine can sell you the domain and hosting services on a pre-paid basis. Domain and hosting packages start at $125/year. These fees are in addition to and separate from the Design Services fee and are charged on a yearly basis. Once you've completed the purchase of your domain and hosting account, designing and building your website can begin! Typically, you'll want to have some material ready when you contact us about building your site: An idea of the number of pages and Subject of each page you'll want, as well as the text and photo requirements for each page. We can discuss these things via email or telephone conference call. It's a good idea to check out other farm websites to see what kind of content is typically included. You'll also want to have available high quality digital photos and an electronic version of your farm's logo, if you have one. Photo quality is important, as the photos create an impression with your viewers. Design and Equine can perform basic text logo design services in addition to your webpage development, or we will refer you to an online professional graphic designer if you require a more complex product.
